Crew Members recommended to become POMS Users
Coxswains and PWC Operators can submit requests for patrol orders directly to the Order Issuing Authority (OIA)for review and approval via the Patrol Order Management System (POMS) from their home computers as authorized by ALCOAST 177/04. Crew members may also gain access to POMS from home to help them find a patrol or contact a Coxswain.
What can a Crew Member do in POMS?
Find Coxswain contact information for a requested patrol that has been authorized by the OIA.
Search for a patrol on a specific day to be a part of
View facilities in need of crew members or advertising room for additional crew members
How can you request a POMS user account?
Go to: www.statronics.com/poms/citrix.htm
Save both the ICA32.exe and the POMS-OE.ICA files to your desktop by right clicking on each link and selecting "Save Target As..." and then "Desktop" (if not already selected).
On your desktop double click the ICA32.exe file to install the Citrix client on your computer. Once installed this file may be deleted from your desktop.
Double click the POMS-OE.ICA icon to access POMS using the Citrix client.
Enter your member number in the user name field.
Enter the last 6 digits of your SSN number as the password.
Push the "Tab" key to view a listing of all POMS locations.
Double click on the location that normally issues the orders for your patrols.
Select "yes" when asked if you wish to register for the location you selected or no to select a different location.
Review your information for accuracy, all information displayed is obtained from AUXDATA. Your e-mail address is required for POMS access. If changes are needed, contact your IS Officer and have them make the changes in AUXDATA.
Select "Register" and review the condition statement and select "yes" if you agree and wish to continue.
Select "Exit" to complete the registration process and exit POMS.

Finding a patrol
Double click the POMS-OE.ICA icon to access POMS.
Enter your member number in the user name field.
Enter the last 6 digits of your SSN number as the password.
Select your location from the drop down menu and click "Login" to access your POMS location.
A calendar will be displayed with patrol information to help you find your next underway opportunity.
